Managing field visibility in the Details panel — Company-managed JSM projects

Hello,

I'm working on a Company-managed Jira Service Management project and need to control which fields are always visible in the Details panel rather than collapsed under More fields — including when those fields are empty.

A few questions:

1. What controls whether a field appears in Details vs. More fields in a Company-managed project?
2. Is there a way to apply this configuration across multiple projects at once?
3. Is there an API or admin setting that handles this?

Any guidance is appreciated.

1. The field layout

3. Sadly not yet.

You could create a shell project with the layout config and all and then use that as a template for any new spaces.

The documentation you shared may be related to a team-managed project? I can't find those options from the documentation in my instance.
