Managing Labels and their color

Hello All,
I am curious to know how I can change the color to the labels associated to tickets and then have them visible from outside the ticket themselves? It looks like this is well illustrated on the Atlassian/Jira website but I cannot seem to find how to replicate this on my project. Advise?

Those are not labels, they are the epic name/epic color that the issue is associated with. You can see and change these colors in the backlog of a Scrum board or from within the epic itself.

Hi @Nathan Cano ,

Just adding on here, @Mikael Sandberg already said the important bit: Those colorful tags in the screenshot are epics, not labels.

But, for completeness sake: you can of course put labels on issues and have displayed them on the board. Since an issue can only be applied to one epic, but can have multiple labels, there are some use cases for this. However, labels won't show up in these colorful tags.

Unfortunately, there isn't even an app to achieve this. We at Polymetis Apps have one that comes close, but we can only render colorful labels on the issue screen, not the board.

There is an open feature request for this functionality, if you'd be interested on this you could vote for it.

Best regards,
 Oliver
