Hi Everyone.

Im trying to make a sprint board visible to the public however it is not seeming to work.

I have been trawling forums etc for a few hours and cannot see to get this working.

From what I have found is:

1. You need to make a public filter for the board

2. Make sure that the project is viewable from anonymous

I have set these 2 options however it is still not viewable.

Please help me!

Kind Regards,

Joe

Hello Joe,

welcome to Atlassian Community!

When you say "public visible", you mean to display the board for any external user which is not properly licensed to login and access your JIRA?

If that's what you meant, it's not possible to display JIRA Software features like Boards to users that are not properly licensed, as specified in the thread below:

Having an option to Make JIRA Agile board public in JIRA 7

That been said, a user must be properly set with a valid JIRA Software license to access Boards and other JIRA Software features.

That been said, there are some export options (CSV, JSON, etc) that you can use to have an external view of JIRA data, although you will be able to display the exact board itself.

If you are looking for external reports, you can also take a look in the Xporter - Export issues from Jira add-on.

Let us know if you still have any other questions.

Hello Joe,

Thank you for clarifying.

As I mentioned before, it's not possible, unfortunately.

To access JIRA boards, the users will need to be logged as a licensed user, or you can provide them a single generic user with only view permissions and its password that they will use to login in your JIRA.
