Make 'Testing Environment' field required for issue type = bug only

I am trying to make the 'Testing Environment' field required for issue type = bug only, but after I set in the field configuration, it asks to enter 'Testing Environment' field even if issue type != bug.

Does anyone know why?

Hi @Juan Wang 

You might be using same field configuration for all issue types. You can try below to create a separate field configuration for Bug issue type in your project -

  1. Create a field configuration eg: "MyProjectBugFieldConfiguration", then make 'Testing Environment' field required in it.
  2. Create a new field configuration scheme eg: "MyProjectFieldConfigurationScheme" and associate Bug issue type to Field Configuration that you created in step 1.

Then associate the field configuration scheme you created in step 2 to your project. example below -

You can use Field Contexts to set the field as requested for an specific issue type:
