Mail-Notification via Auto-Mentionin Users in Description Field via Update Issue Field Post Function
Hi Community,
my goal is to notify colleagues about the creation of issues via e-mail w/o using any plugins. These issues will not be created by me.
I am trying to do so by auto-mentioning those users in the description field via an update issue field post function on the create transition and eventually triggering the e-mail notification for mentions this way.
To do so I update the description field to e.g. [~username1][~username2] etc.
The post function works correctly in so far that the user is mentioned in the description field.
Although the user does not receive an email-notification.
When I manually mention the user in the description field he will receive an email-notifacation.
Hence I believe that the auto-mentioning does not trigger the notification via mail.
Can you offer any advice how to notify my colleagues on create w/o the use of any plugins?
