Hi JIRA Team,

My email id right now is digital_analyst@indocert.org in google domain, but october 2024 onwards digital_analyst@indocert.org in Ms 365 domain. 

My name is Shyamily Kuriakose, Digital Analyst of INDOCERT.

June month onwards our organization INDOCERT using JIRA for project management.

Here I am attaching our organization JIRA link for the references:

Right now, our Executive director started a standard JIRA plan with 18 users. The 18 users added by using google.

Our organization right now using Google products, most probably October 2024 month onwards we start using microsoft. That means we are migrating from Google to Microsoft. 

So, As a Digital Analyst, My concern is, Is this JIRA also affected due to this migration??? 

Is there anything I need to do perform before migration ?

Is it create another separate organization for entire users ?

No need for a new organization, you can continue with existing Jira set up; only authentication methods will changes.

Note: this is a public forum. Ideally, you shouldn't post any Emailadresses / links, that aren't public elsewhere.

As to the migration - Email is the primary key for Atlassian. If the users get a new address, Atlassian will most likely not recognize them as the same user but create a new object. So a second Account will be created and all historic Changes as well as User fields won't be updated to the new User objects.

It would be something different if you used Atlassian Guard and a central User provisioning, where Jira recognizes User Objects and respective changes in the central User management to the Object.
