Hello,

I lost admin access to my Jira Cloud site:

burkhardtbraun1.atlassian.net

Both accounts

[email address removed for privacy]
[email address removed for privacy]

can log in but receive the message that they have no access to Jira.

The site still exists (tenant_info endpoint returns cloudId:
842e7bca-262d-44d1-b70d-e99916ed7c7e)

The site contains my project A7M4 and I was the original creator.

It seems the site currently has no active site admin.
It seems the site is now an "orphaned site" with no active site administrator.

How can I restore admin access?

Hi @Burkhardt Braun ,

Can you navigate to admin.atlassian.com? If so, you should be able to give site access from there. Getting to Atlassian Administration would depend on who is/was set as the Org admin.

Also, was that site on a paid or free plan? Were there any other admins apart from yourself?

You could reach out to the support team here 👈 - select "Your Account" and then "Log in issues."
The staff could then check the status of the site and who's currently listed as Org admin. Note that Org admins cannot remove themselves from the site and there should also always be one Org admin listed for each organization.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi Tomislav,
- if I enter admin.atlassian.com
I am encouraged to create an Organisation.
- it was a free plan
- I was the only admin
I used yours link and when I first entered the Url it was invalid.
Then I choose "reacitvate subscription" and I could enter the Url
and describe my issue.
Now I have to wait.
Thank you Tomislav!

@Burkhardt Braun glad you managed to submit the ticket. 🙌

ℹ️ Note/info - Atlassian does have data retention policies for Free plans. You can read more about that here: Track storage and move data across apps / What happens to Free plan apps if they're inactive for too long?

Hi Tomislav,
I read the link and it is written there:"
If you’re a site admin, we’ll send you emails to let you know if your site has been inactive and is at risk of being deactivated. You’ll need to log in and do something to prevent deactivation."

Trust me I checked my emails and received a lot from atlassian, but nothing like a warning that the account will be deactivated.

Regards
Burkhardt
