Laura Spigone

My company just upgraded to JIRA v7.1.9. We use a custom field to drive our boards. All the users that were previously assined the Project Administrator permissions (which has the Manage Sprint permission) cannot stop and start sprints. Please help!

My guess is that you upgraded from a version which required project admin rights for sprint maintenance.

This was separated out - you no longer need to be a project admin to mange sprints.  You'll need to go through your permission schemes and correct the settings for "manage sprints" which are separate from "project admin" now.
