It appears I can no longer access the original JIRA account I had. I had some work there but I haven't accessed the service in a long time. When I tried accessing JIRA again, I was asked to create a new workspace and basically all my previous info is gone. When I try to access the initial URL I had, it tell me it cannot be found but this URL was valid before now.
It is possible that your Jira cloud site was deactivated due to inactivity. You can read more about this here - What happens to Free plan apps if they're inactive for too long?
Jira
If all the Jira Cloud apps on your site are on a Free plan, your Jira Cloud apps will be deactivated after a period of inactivity. If you’re a site admin, we’ll send you emails to let you know if your site has been inactive and is at risk of being deactivated. If any Jira Cloud app on your site is on a paid plan, this doesn’t apply to that site.
Activity is simply defined as logging in and viewing any page within a Jira app on your site. For example, logging in and viewing a dashboard, report, Jira admin screen, or issue will count as activity. To keep your site active, log in and view something, which should ensure your site remains active.

Data retention period
The length of your app’s data retention period will depend on the plan and billing system. At the end of this data retention period, your app’s data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If you want immediate deletion of your data, you can submit a request.

Inactivity on Free cloud apps
Atlassian reserves the right to deactivate your Free Cloud app’s data (e.g. Jira and Confluence) due to inactivity. Any data associated with this Free Cloud app will be permanently deleted soon after. We will send notifications prior to any Free Cloud app deactivation and data deletion.
