Looking for a custom text field with regex validator

I'd like to specify a regular expression for validation of a custom text field. I've reviewed the functionality in the "JIRA Workflow Toolbox" plugin and as far as I can tell, I would have to apply the validation on every transition. I'd rather specify the regex as part of the custom field definition. Does this exist?

Besides the plugin mentioned by Andrey, it seems that the Kepler Custom Fields plugin also provides this functionality.

There is regex text custom field.

Haven't seen one! You might want to create a custom field of your own or go with the mentioned plugin.
