Log files rotation period
Hi,
I'm running Jira 8.12.0 and Jira 7.12.2 on Windows server 2016. New log files are created in [Jira Installation Directory]\logs\ and [Jira Home Directory]\Application Data\Jira\log\ directories every day, no matter how much output there are in those log files. Is there a way for Jira to rotate those files so that only one week, one month, or however long worth of log files remain in these directories? In other words, can Jira rotate these log files based on an adjustable time period.
During my research I saw this logrotate app in Linux server to help manage these log files, but there isn't one like it for Windows servers. I don't see an option in Jira setting that can rotate these log files based on time period. However, I do see an option to keep Audit log in the database for up to a specified number of years. Is it possible to have that option applied these log files as well, except they don't need to be in the database?
