Lock or save a filter

Tim Riches November 1, 2022

Hi everyone,

I use labels for projects.  I'd like to save a filter on a Jira board - like the one in the picture below where I have a filter with a label.

As things stand this filter is lost when I move from 'Board to 'Timeline' which is really frustrating and means a lot of clicking to reset the filter each time.

Is there a way to lock the filter or save it somehow?

Thanks

Tim

@Tim Riches Since you are using a Work Managed Project there is no way to create a saved filter on the board.   The board does create the filter using URL parameters.  As a workaround you could create a bookmark and then click it to return to the board with your filters on it.

You can also create a saved filter to see issues (this would not be on a board).

Another option would be to use a software project and a Kanban or Sprint board which allows you to create quick filters.

Thanks @Brant Schroeder Brian,

Bookmarketing the filtered views is a useful workaround. I'll look into quick filters as well.  Thanks for the tips.
