Link to Live document on server or OneDrive

I have documents saved on a server / OneDrive that i want to link to a Task how do i do this instead of a link to a folder?

Hi @Greg Stacey and welcome to the Community,

As long as your documents or files can be accessed through a url and there's no permission restrictions blocking access to the file, you can create links based on the item's url.

However, linking local files directly from within Jira is not supported - mainly because modern browsers don't allow you to. Have a look at this kb article for more background information and a couple of workarounds.
