Link issues across different JIRA instance

Hi, i have come to this problem.

We are using JIRA 4.2.3, we want to able to link issue from a JIRA instance to another issue of another JIRA instance.

Is there anyway to do it with JIRA or with Plugin?

Hi, it sounds like you're referring to remote issue links. This was introduced in JIRA 5. You will need an upgrade.

Agree to Harry, upgrade is the best option, JIRA 4.2.3 EOL is not far away, just 3 months from now.

I think we have to do a workaround then.

haha, by importing the one project into a same JIRA instance.
