I've been working on a confluence page, and I wanted to link it to a ticket for our review team to review the pages.
I'm able to link regular pages, but when I try to link to the Space/overview page I get the following error:
We're having trouble. Check your connection and try again.
Is this a setup issue or a bug?

I've got a workaround, which is just to add a web link to the overview page but I would prefer to use the correct link if possible.

Hello @DatAssKyle

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

By the description of your error, I believe you might be facing the bug below:

Linking a Confluence Home Page in an Issue produces an Error

The bug above happens when you try to link the home page of your space directly from the ticket view, however, you can work around it by using the Jira macro in Confluence to add the Jira ticket to the Confluence page. Try the steps below and check if it works for you:

  1. Copy your ticket URL
  2. Navigate to the Confluence page you are not being able to link > Select to Edit by clicking in the pencil icon at the top-right corner of the page
  3. At any part of your page, click to Link issue > Paste the URL of your ticket and click enter:

  4. The Confluence page will be displayed in the ticket view as well

If the workaround worked for you, we suggest to vote and watch the bug to increase its priority and also receive notifications about its fix implementation.

Now, if you are still facing the problem, please provide us with any errors returned in the developer tools of your browser so we can further investigate what might be causing the error.

Additionally, let us know if you have any other questions.
