Hi, Hope you guys are doing well. I have 3 projects. You can say Project A, B and C. And i have two groups. 1 group is developer and other is design. I want to give access of all projects to developer but want to limit design group just for Project C. Any help would be appreciated setting up the permissions. Thankyou
A good starting point for permissions:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/overview-of-jira-cloud-permissions/
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/how-do-jira-permissions-work/
For this, you can use Roles.
Project A: add a developer group to a role and change/add permissions to each permissions for that role. Remove the permissions for the design group.
same project B. Remove the permission for design group from both projects if you don't want them to see or edit issues on those projects.
project c: create a role for design, add a group and then edit permissions
hope that helps!
Hi @Aaron Pavez [ServiceRocket] ,
If i am able to understand it correctly. First i have to go create 2 roles, 1 for developer and 1 for design. Then i have to change the permissions for both of the roles to see the projects. Also, do i have to edit permissions in project?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

Yes. Create the roles and then edit each project's permissions.

Each project handles its own permissions unless you are using the same permissions schemes for two projects.
Or you can leverage a security scheme.
