Zahid,

Can you tell us what error message you're seeing, and what version of Jira you installed? Are you behind a firewall or proxy?

Regards,

Shannon

Rashedul,

Thank you for that. Can you answer my 2nd question about your platform? Are you behind a firewall or proxy?

It will also help to see what errors occur in the Jira side when you enter the license.

Can you have a look at your Jira server logs and tell us what error occurs when you enter the license? You can find this out by tailing the logs and compare the results.

Regards,

Shannon

Hi,

We are not behind of any firewall or proxy, but I'll check the server log on our side.

Looks like if we try with trialing license it works, but with the starter license it's not working.

Can you please check on your side if there is any issue with the license code, maybe it's not for the server we are trying? However, while we generated the license we put the correct server ID

Thanks

Hi Shannon,

Installed JIRA: atlassian-jira-software-7.12.3-x64.bin

Product Info: SEN-12779057 Jira Software (Server) 10 Users: Starter License

Here is the server log file from our Atlasian installation directory

https://www.dropbox.com/s/vseen06uurp63q2/atlassian-jira.log?dl=0

Please check the log, we're not so sure what's the issue there.

Thanks

Hi Rashedul,

Thank you! I had a look and it appears that Jira is having trouble connecting to your database server for one reason or another, and this could be causing the problem.

Could you confirm your MySQL version as well as which driver you are currently using?

Please also confirm your Jira version.

Are you able to connect directly to the database server from the Jira server?

You may also want to speak to your server admin in order to see why your Jira server might not be able to connect to the MySQL server.

Regards,

Shannon
