Labels - Disable notifications?

JIRA 5.1.4

1 Open an issue
2 More action... Labels
3 You can add a label there and disable the notification for this change there.

Doing the same by inline editing, a notification will always be sent. This annoys my users.

Any way to disable the notifications for label changes in general?

No, every change is a change for JIRA and it will result in notifications :(

JIRA email digester was a good choice, but not supported for later versions of JIRA

Your're right, but in some situations ( calling "labels" dialog another way ) it is possible to prevent the notification. In others not....
