LDAP User email id is not reflecting in crowd and jira

Hi All-

We have Crowd 2.4.2 configured to LDAP for the user base. We also integrated crowd with jira 5.0.6.

Right now the problem is that email id of a user in LDAP is not reflecting in crowd and hence in Jira too. We also cross checked that the user has email id in LDAP.

Beacuse of this the user is not getting any email notifications in Jira.

If we can able to reflect the email id in crowd, it will be reflected in Jira too and user will be able to get notifications.

Please help us in fixing the issue.

Thanks in Advance,

Venkat

Hi Venkat,

It sounds like the problem is somewhere between Crowd and your LDAP server. I would check the Crowd user directory > Configurations tab, and see whether the "User Email Attribute" matches the email attribute in your user object on the LDAP side.

If you'd like, you can attach a screenshot of your user directory's Configuration tab, plus an LDIF export of an example user from your LDAP (scrub out any sensitive info of course). This should make clear what the User Email Attribute should be set to in Crowd.

Best regards,

Robert
