I've been able to add the ability for users to close the announcement banner, but what I can't figure out how to do is keep it closed during the rest of their logged in session. It will stay closed when navigating through an issue type, but if you move to another issue type or area in JIRA the banner appears again. My ideal situation would be that once a user closes out of the banner it won't appear again until the next time they login or if that is not feasible display it by time, the banner will reappear every 24 hours after closing.
Does anyone know the html to accomplish this?
