HI,
My Kanban board displays only 1 epic and related tasks instead of multiple epics in it. I have removed all the filters. Why can I see only a small part of my list/backlog on the board, and how to fix it? Thank you in advance for your help!
Hello and welcome to the community!
You say you removed all filters but that seems unlikely since there is not much showing as you mentioned. The Quick filters on top of the board aren't the only filters that may be applied.
To assist further it is important to know what type of board are you using (Kanban, Scrum ...). Also go into the board configuration (if you are board admin) and see what main board filter and possibly subfilters are applied. Can you share this?
If you've already cleared the quick filters and it's still showing just one epic, there are usually two other spots to check on a Kanban board.
First, the Epic Panel on the left side of the board. If you click an epic name there, it filters the board to only that epic's issues. Clicking it again (or clicking "All epics") releases the filter. This one gets people all the time because it looks like a label, not a filter.
Second, the board's own filter, which is separate from the quick filters. Go to Board settings, then General, and check the "Saved filter" the board is using. Open it and look at the JQL. It might be scoped to a single epic, a specific label, a fixVersion, or something similar. On the same settings page there's also a "Sub-filter" field that adds an extra layer on top, so worth checking that too.
If the filter looks fine, the last thing to check is Columns. Any issue in a status that isn't mapped to a column will be hidden from the board. Board settings, Columns, and make sure all your workflow statuses are mapped somewhere.
Nine out of ten times it's the Epic Panel. Start there and let us know what you find.

This could be related to the board's main filter. If you're the kanban board admin please check the filter query in Board settings -> Details -> General Settings -> Board filter, as it may be limiting the tickets displayed on the board. If not, please reach out to the Admin
It could also be due to some statuses not being mapped to the board columns, or because completed tickets are hidden
Cheers!
