8.5 is, as it will keep getting security patches and updates until October 2021 because it is a "long term support" release.

8.5.8 has some security issues, you should upgrade to 8.5.9 - see https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/issues-resolved-in-8-5-9-1027114896.html for the fixes
