Jira won't start after Set Up Application properties

KobeZHONG May 23, 2018

I starting to install Jira software in my windows server 2016, our environment is Windows server 2016 + MySQL 8.0.11 +Jira 7.9.2.

I have finished the installation of MySQL and Jira, the Jira already connected to MySQL database successfully, but it won't continue after I set up application title on Set up application properties page.

Could you please do me a favor, thanks.

Best regards

Kobe

Hi Kobe,

Jira Server does not yet support MySQL 8.   Please see our Supported Platforms for Jira 7.9 for more details.   I created a feature request for Jira to add support for this database version in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-67359

However there is no clear timetable on if or when Jira might support that specific database version.  So In the meantime, I would recommend that you select a database type and version listed on the supported platform documentation linked above.

Regards,

Andy

Jira doesn't support that database version yet.  You can correct this problem by using a supported database when setting Jira up.  You can find a list of these in Supported Platforms for Jira
