Jira where to edit the Priority Text that appears under the Prioity field in the Bug Screen?

Where do I need to go in Jira to edit the text that appears below the Priority Field in the Bug Screen associated with my Project?  We have a Critical and Highest level that I would like to added to the text field.

I can't find it through a Google search or looking on the Atlassian help.

There can be multiple reasons for such behavior. Let's explore them one by one:

Field Configuration

First of all, this could be due to the Field Configuration (read more here). To change or remove the description for the Priority field, follow these steps:

1. Click on Project settings in the bottom right corner.
   
2. Go to the Fields section and click on Field Configuration Scheme.
   
3. Find the Field Configuration related to your issue type (Bug issue type in your case) and click the Edit (pencil) button.
   
4. Locate the Priority field and click the Edit button.
   
5. Change or remove the description and click Update.
   

Important! If you can't find some of the functions I described, you might not have Jira Admin permissions. In that case, please contact your organization's admin.

It's also possible that the description below the field is generated by a plugin. For example, it could be implemented using Behaviours in ScriptRunner.

Please let me know if Field Configuration is not the cause in your case, and we will investigate whether this behavior is caused by a plugin.

I think that text can be modified in the configuration of the Priority field within the Field Configuration that is associated to the Bug issue type in the Field Configuration Scheme used by the project where you are creating the issue.
