Jira software ( server)license expired.

Hello,

Our Jira instance ( server) license is expired (in 2017). currently we are using 6.3 version and we want to upgrade our current version from 6.3 to 8.x.x version. 

Is it possible to upgrade the software from 6.3 to latest version with expired license. Please let me know.

Unfortunately, this is not allowed.

You won't be able to upgrade to any version released past the license expiration date.
