Hello Everyone,
I have built a Jira log hour report using two dimensional rich filter to list the team member names in Y-axis and dates in X-axis.
My requirement: Display Day wise total hours logged by every team member, For e.g., For Jira issue number 1234; User A had logged 2 hours on 1-Nov and 4 hours on 22-Dec and for the same Jira logged 2 hours on 23-Dec; the report should list them day wise;
Issue: Instead of showing log hours daywise, the widget aggregates the hours as 8 hours i.e., displays as 8 hours for 23-Dec and 0 hours for days from 1-Nov to 22-Dec.
Steps followed for report creation:
1. Jira filter created with team member names with date range
2. Rich filter created
3. Added Two dimensional filter widget with following configurations
4. Horizontal breakdown:
Statistic type: "Updated"
Aggregations: Days
Time Range: 1-Nov-2025 to 31-Dec-2025
5. Vertical Breakdown
Statistic Type: "Assignee"
6. Values: Time Spent
Please assist if i am missing anything or for corrections needed in the above or let me know for any information needed.
P.S: I am advised to create a day wise report using available widgets and to go for paid or marketplace custom reports.
Thanks
Prasad
IMO - Two dimensional filter is not a good way to create such report. You should consider any time tracking app to get similar report or get data via api and built it outside jira.

Hey @RenukaPrasad R! 👋
JetTime is a third-party time tracking app that can do exactly this — group by users (Y-axis) and enable timesheet mode with day-by-day breakdown (X-axis). It'll show each worklog entry separately per day, not aggregated, so you'll see User A's 2 hours on 1-Nov, 4 hours on 22-Dec, and 2 hours on 23-Dec as distinct entries.

Hi,
eazyBI Reports and Charts for Jira is another app that allows creating such reports (and a lot of other things). You may wish to check a dashboard from our public demo account to see what kind of Time tracking reports are possible with eazyBI: https://eazybi.com/accounts/1000/dashboards/27385-time-tracking
