Hi I often submit comments to an existing Jira issue using email to jira@mycompany.atlassian.net with [JIRA] and the issue key in the subject line. This is useful because I can send an update to other non-Jira users AND log the comment in the issue. Jira would then post the content of the email as a comment, strip out attachments as attachments AND automatically translate anything it recognized as issue keys so that it included a link and displayed the issue key, title and type of issue. A week or two ago it stopped working and now it displays a broken link (https:/fira-prod-us-38-2.prod.atl-paas.net/browse/ANG-76#icft=ANG-76 -Can't find link). I tried checking to make sure it wasn't something a long vs. short dash but couldn't get it to work. I can still get it to post the issue link properly if I manually enter the comment. See screenshot below of two failed interpretations of the text "ANG-76" sent via email and then the proper interpretation of ANG-76 when I entered the comment manually.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what I might be doing wrong?
I tried this also, and the same thing happened to me.
This could be a bug - I'd recommend reporting it via: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa - I couldn't find a bug which had already been raised for this!
