Jira is down - multiple users affected

Error when trying to open any jira issue: 

We couldn't connect to that issue

Make sure that this issue actually exists in that project. If it does, try again in a few minutes. If you still can't link to the issue, contact your Jira admin.

 

and when trying to report the issue to support, I get this error: 

 

Support Service Connection Issue

There may be an issue reaching our backend service. This could result in your form submission failing to create a support ticket.

Refer to https://status.atlassian.com/

It took Atlassian some time to update the page, but as of about 27 minutes ago they got it updated to show most Cloud products experiencing an Active Incident.
