We are implementing an n8n workflow that processes JIRA tickets and needs to connect to Grafana MCP for analysis.
Does JIRA Cloud/Server have native MCP support?
What is the recommended approach for integrating external MCP (Grafana MCP) services in n8n workflows for JIRA MCP?
Which triggers do we need to connect to external MCP services (Grafana MCP)?
How can we integrate Grafana MCP ingress with JIRA MCP using n8n?
Additional Information:
The same application works without issues in Visual Studio, and also works fine without Grafana MCP; with code, it is working correctly.
Any guidance on troubleshooting this issue or recommendations for integrating Grafana MCP with JIRA using an n8n workflow would be appreciated.
Flow:
Read JIRA Ticket description → Process Data → MCP Grafana Analysis → Add Comment in JIRA ticket
I'd probably redirect this question to the following discussion group: Atlassian Rovo MCP Server
I'm definitelly not an expert in this area, but this might also be relevant when it comes to integration of third-party MCP clients with Jira/Atlassian MCP Server: Using with other supported MCP clients
While Grafana and n8n are not specifically listed as supported clients, you could attempt to connect those to the Atlassian Rovo MCP Server.
But again, you'd probably get some more involvement if you'd ask this in the previously linked discussion group. (There's no official question content type within discussion groups, but you could start a new discussion in the form of a question)
Cheers,
Tobi
