Jira integration with Jenkins - public key creation

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I am attempting to create an application link for Jenkins through JIRA. I have gotten through the creation of a consumer key and the initial configuration of the applicaiton key, but I am currently stuck on the creation of a public key for JIRA to use.
I am unsure of where to find this public key on Jenkins or JIRA. Thank you in advance for those who can help!
