Similar to mid-May 2025 where we had issues with the integration without any changes on our Jira cloud instance, we're seeing the same over the past 24 hours (since August 5th evening EDT).
I've searched for answers here and saw evidence others were experiencing the same last time around.
New github PRs are not showing up on jira tickets, while existing ones statuses do update.
Last time it resolved itself after about a day. Anyone else experiencing this or has information about the status of this?
Given yesterday's outages we assume it's again an aftermath of github issues.
hey All,
There's an active incident that's impacting the sync between Jira and the integrated development tools. It's impacting only a few customers from a specific region I believe, and our internal teams are actively working on it.
You may raise a support ticket so our teams will keep you updated about the progress on this.
Thanks!
Hello @Karan Sachdev
is there any status page you can share where we can see this (and similar ones) ongoing incident ?

Yes, also experiencing a similar issue with our Bitbucket pull requests. The ticket shows the link to the branch, but not the existing PR for that branch.
Example:
Out automations that should be triggered when the PR is created are not firing either.

The AI bot on Atlassian support recommended running "restart backfill". This will take a while, so I'll see in a few hours if it helped. I could see there though that the sync is indeed stuck in "pending". It said it would immediately start syncing new stuff if it helped, but I don't see that happening so far so not sure it helped. Will update if it changes.

Yeah, our github integration is also broken. For older tickets, that have details of PRs in the UI, if I click into the PR from the UI it fails to fetch details. We also use the jira api to grab commit details related to tickets, the API call for details returns with a 500 and some mention of github
