Jira cloud new view assingnee problems

Hello ,

People are not listed when attempting to assinge in Jira cloud new view.Screenshot is attached

When you switch back to the Jira cloud old view, contacts are listed and selection is not possible.

Please help and support,thank you

Welcome to Atlassian community!

I'm not sure if this is related to the behavior you are facing, but I found a reported bug about an difference in the  behavior of the Assignee field in the New issue view x Old issue view:

Unable to assign users in projects on the Assignee field on the new issue view

Basically, some users are unable to assign an issue to other users in the new issue view because the Assignee field is not added to the project screens, while the users are listed in the old issue view. Can you please check if this is the case?

Additionally, please confirm if the "assign issue" permission is configured to your user and the "assignable user" is configured to the user you are trying to add.

Problem solved when I add Assigne fields

Is there a permanent solution to this problem?

Actually, the mentioned behavior is intended when you don't have the assignee field in the Screens, as you can see in the bug reported.

Sorry, but I think I didn't understand what did you mean by a permanent solution. Adding the assignee to the issue screen is still lacking your system in any way?
