Jira cloud migration assistant plugin usage

Ashima Bhatia November 14, 2022

hi team,

Jira cloud migration assistant is installed in our Jira server instance. Could you please help me in clarifying below queries

1. How to identify whether Jira cloud migration assistant is in use in Jira server?

2. How to check what data is associated with plugin Jira cloud migration assistant?

Thanks
Ashima Bhatia

Hello @Ashima Bhatia ,

Hope you are doing good!!

Basically, this is the native app of Atlassian which will help to migrate the specific project or Data to the Atlassian Cloud.

1. Well, you can navigate to System --> Migrate to Cloud you will be able to see the Migration s plan created if any.

2. Basically, this plugin is helping to Migrate the data from server to Cloud, if not needed you can uninstall if needed in future you can reinstall.

Hope this information is helpful.

Regards,
Mayur

Hello @Ashima Bhatia ,

As I mentioned this plugin is just for Migration it will not contain data related to the Configurations of Jira.

Thanks for the update Mayur.

So, in reference to your reply, so there is no way to find out where the plugin JCMA is getting used in any jira parameter such as any project, dashboard, issue, etc.?

In other words, if any data is stored anywhere related to plugin JCMA, that would be really helpful.
