I have added the jira cloud app to slack and linked a jira project with a slack channel. When I try to add a slack message to a jira task, everything seems to work fine. Indeed, I get a message (see below) telling me that I have added the message to Jira. However, when I check into the Jira app (or web-based version) whether that message was added to the Jira task, it has not.

The way that the "Add to Issue" function works may be a bit different than you expect. For example, based on the message you may go to the issue and look for a new addition to the issue's description, or perhaps a new comment.
Instead, over on the right panel there is a "Slack" section - I've hovered over the "Open issue activity" action here:
Once you've opened that app in the sidebar, you'll see any messages from Slack that were attached to the issue:
Going that route, are you able to find the messages you've attached?
