Jira calendar and timeline

Naomi Casebolt

I have entered planned start and end dates on my JIRA issues and sub-tasks and when I drag and drop the issues onto my calendar it sometimes reflects the end dates correctly. Other times it is reflecting the planned start date as the end date but it never reflects a start date for any of the issues so the timeline does not plot out correctly.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Naomi,

This might be because Jira's built-in calendar and timeline are designed to work with the standard "Start Date" and "Due Date" fields.

Have a go at using the standard "Start Date" and "Due Date" fields in your issues, not any custom date fields, to see if that resolve things.

Hope this helps!
