Hi,
I am attempting to configure an automation in a company-managed software project, to automatically assign newly created support tasks to a specified epic (i.e. 'BAU')
I have configured the automation as per the screenshot attached. When attempting to set the epic link, I on only presented with an one option to select 'Option 1' - not sure what that means and I'm stuck at this point.
Please can you assist?
Thanks
Hello @kddc
Just type your Jira Epic Key in the field. For ex, ABC-123 and it should show up.
hmm, other thing I can think of is that your field is not called Epic Link.
Can you go an existing issue and on the screen see what the field is called?
It could be called Parent, OR Parent Link OR Feature Link...
Depends on your configuration so please check and if different choose that in your rule..

Ok I got it to work by changing the edit issue field to Parent then manually setting the epic (see screenshot), tested creating a new support task and its automatically assigned.
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
I tried that but does not work - when I try search no results come up (see attached screenshot). I can't enter the epic key and submit either, wont let me :(
