I have a number of automation that transitions a work item to Approved through various transitions.
I have another automation with a 'Work Item Transitioned' trigger for when work items are transitioned to Approved (no From Status).
When one of the first automation moves the work item to Approved, the second automation is not triggered. However it is triggered if a user transitions it to Approved through the same transition.
I'm sure these have been working before, but stopped over the last couple of weeks. I could fix the problem by copying the second automation to all of the automations that end with the Approved transition, but I wanted to keep them separate for ease of updating. Do you know what's stopping the trigger if the user is Automation for Jira?
Hi Andy,
Have you checked this setting on the non-triggering rules?
It is under the rules details and very easily missed. It might explain why it triggers sometimes (when first and not by another rule). I'm pretty sure this will be the case, as it causes exactly what you describe.
Hope this helps!
Perfect, I knew it would be something simple! Thanks a lot Jeroen
