I have an issue with Jira tickets in Slack. when trying to click the comment button it won't work and it only loads then nothing happens but the buttons such as comment, assign, or transition work randomly in Slack threads. Sometimes we have to click on buttons on previous posts or messages for that ticket for it to finally respond or work. The comment buttons for recent replies or messages don't work. what would be the issue?
Effects everyone that uses this account in the jira for slack app
Yes restarts have occurred
Everyone has updated slack
Everyone has reset cache in slack
To no avail
Hi @Imatree ops
Welcome to community!
Do you observe this behaviour only for you or other team members are also experiencing this?
Have you tried the standard IT troubleshooting like a restart?

We still got the same error or issue even we have already tried to troubleshoot

@Imatree ops , is it the jirabot slack messages?
I am not able to reproduce the issue in my setup. Below is the slack app connected.
Is it the same at your end or a different integration?

@Fazila Ashraf that is the slack app we are using. It’s not the bot or the jira app channel where we experience the issue
we create a ticket inside any of our created slack channels.
Once the ticket is created it creates a thread in the channel. We can usually click on the action button that is available at the top of the thread and works fine
if we try to click on any of the action buttons that are created later in the thread they usually don’t respond.
in the mobile slack app, nothing happens.
on the desktop slack app, I have seen a little grey triangle with an exclamation mark in it but no error code shows

hmm.. Are you sure you are not using the Atlassian assist slack app like in https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-management/product-guide/tips-and-tricks/chat#chat-ops-101 ?
Either way, i recommend to log a support ticket with Atlassian team directly. I can confirm that the jira cloud slack app and atlassian assist both works in our setup and not an outage.

@Imatree ops , as i am not able to reproduce the issue and the same integration works well in my setups, i am not sure what to recommend you further. :(
Hopefully, there are other atlassian enthusiasts with a good recommendation

I understand. I appreciate you trying to look into this though Fazila. Take care!

Just had a somewhat aha moment.
So I can use comment button on the actions at top of thread or on status updates. But the comment button that is on another comment isn’t loading.
