Jira application crases- what to do next

Hi team,

I am using jira software 8.5 version. I don't know what happen and the application crases, but i have the xml backup  in export directory as well as backup of the attachment directory.

I am trying to install same version of jira again on the same server, 

1- will i need to create a new empty database ?

2. What license i have to use? Same licence of the old jira.

3. How can i backup the content of the database and attachment.

Please help me to troubleshoot it.

@Ankur Gupta  , by application crashes, you mean the url is not accessible and says some error?

Or the db corrupts?

If it is only the url errors out, would recommend you to look at the logs to understand the reason

Thanks for your reply.

The database has been corrupted. But i have the full backup of the database and Jira data directory.

Could you please provide me the step to restore both database as well as Jira data directory. So i can see issues, projects, comments, as well as attachment after restore.

If it is a DB crash, then restore the DB from your db backups. JIRA data directory wouldnt need a restore in this case.
