Jira and Confluence upgarde

Hi Team,

I have worked on Jra cloud. Now I have recently joined new project in my organization and my manager have asked to upgrade Jira and confluence.

Details:

JIRA- 8.2.0, 1000 users

confluence- 895 users and version is 8.5.4

could you anyone please help me list of activties to be performed and how details steps can help me achieve it?

Start by reading and understanding the instructions that Atlassian provides for Jira.

The Confluence equivalent can be found on this page by Atlassian

If for some reason you cannot understand these instructions, then refrain from the task and tell your manager that this requires trained technicians. 

Do note that the pages I referred to have a version pull-down in the top right corner to select the version of Jira at hand.
