Jira Workflow Operations Throwing Empty Error Messages

Hi Community, 

we are experiencing blank error messages when transitioning issues between status (in both edit mode and drag&drop on the board view). When we manually reload the browser everything is in the right place. Moreover, it also occurs when copying workflows. Sometimes this error also prevents copying workflows..

There are no conditions or validators that could cause these errors. It also happens with newly created projects or very basic workflows.

We already tried to restart the Jira Instance and have it run in safe mode without any apps, but the error still persists. Jira Version is 8.16.1.

If you can view the Atlassian log, it may provide more detail on this error could be. 

I would recommend to run an integrity check and check the health to see if anything is spotted there. 

Are you using chrome browser? Also, is this happening also happening with other team members?

Hi Ben, 

thank you for your answer, unfortunately there is nothing suspicious in the logs, integrity and health check found nothing.. We have also tested different users and browsers, still the error persists..

The strangest thing is, that there is no problem in another project on the same instance.. It was created earlier before the latest Update to Jira 8.16.1 - also the schemes (field, workflow, etc.) are mostly the same..

This indeed is strange. If anything, I would check with Atlassian support since it doesn't look like a network, browser, or an issue outside of Jira. Plus, something is odd since you have projects that don't reflect this issue.

But do mention to support that you have a project that doesn't reflect any issue.
