Jira Upwork Integration

please provide pointers for Jira Upwork integration. Is the marketplace plugin still available?

Hey Peter,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I've had a look at the integration offered by Upwork and it doesn't look like there's anything to install on the Jira side (there's nothing listed in our Marketplace for example). From the documentation that Upwork has about their integration, it looks like it just connects to Jira via our APIs. This would all be configured on the Upwork side.

If it's not working per the documentation**, the next step would be reaching out to Upwork Support.

**one thing that the Upwork documentation doesn't capture is that we require API requests to Jira Cloud to use API tokens instead of a username/password combination now. Here's our instructions on generating an API token. In the password field in Upwork, you'd just paste the API token you generated instead of typing in your password.

I have connected Upwork to Jira and authorization worked. But no leads are showing up in Jira.  How do I add my leads to Jira?

Hey @pierre zarokian , welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Upwork develops their integration, and aside from the installation document linked above, I don't have any information about it. The integration uses Jira's REST API rather than Atlassian's plugin frameworks, so it is limited in what it can do in the Jira interface.

I've been using the Jira password and couldn't able to connect to Upwork until I saw your post. it should be the API key.
