Jira Software + Confluence On Premise and Jira Service Desk cloud

Hello community, I have installed Jira Software + Confluence On Premise connected to the MS active directory of the company, we are thinking of implementing Jira Service Desk and I have the following question.
Will I be able to login with my MS Active Directory accounts in the Service Desk cloud? how?
The communication between on premise and the cloud must be bidirectional, right?
