Jira Server to Data Center migration and roadmap tool

Hi all!

We are about to migrate from the Server product to the Data Center version.

I am wondering, if migrated legacy projects in Jira will also get the Roadmap feature that comes with the Data Center version. Or will only newly set up fresh projects benefit from that feature?

Apps are global unless otherwise restricted/specified (e.g. by specific user groups, just like Jira licensing works, or by other mechanisms).

Projects are essentially "standalone" boxes, and roadmaps are global for everyone to use, unless you restrict it yourself.

So long story short yes, roadmaps is a global app that can be used by any project, both new and old.
