Jira Server and Github instegtation question

Hello,

 We have integrated jira (8.7.1) and github in dev instance before going to production. We have total 3700+ repositories.

We have received this error message "Sync Paused: GitHub rate limit was exceeded. Syncing will automatically resume later." for some repositories and some were Sync Failed. What could be the issue and is there any chance to limit the repositories to avoid jira performance issues instead of sync all into jira?
