Hello community,

We've stumbled across an issue concerning one of our automations.

If all linked issues of an epic are transitioned to done, then the linked test of the Epic should transition to ready.

I'm not sure, if the Smart values are correct and the branch is needed. Can anybody help?

In the Audit-protocol it's green, but no action is performed.

Hi @Sarah Kelemen-Gottswinter -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You note linked issues in your question but then seem to access Story and Epic issue types in the rule.  Do you mean the parent / child relationship of the issues?

If so, perhaps try this instead:

• trigger: issue transitioned to Done
• condition: issue type is Story
• condition: Epic Link is not empty
• related issues condition: with JQL, check if all of the other Stories with the same Epic Link (i.e., parent) are Done
• branch: to parent / Epic
  • condition: Status is not Ready
  • action: transition to Ready
