Jira Product Board: How show Epics

Jira Product Board: How show Epics

I am a previous user of Jira. I am now trying to setup a new Scrum project for the first time. In the past, I was able to see the list of Epics when displaying the Sprints (not on Backlog). How do I configure to show the Epics when displaying the Sprints and tasks in the Sprints.

You can configure your swimlanes by Epics. It's in the board settings under Swimlanes.

Not sure that is what I am looking for. When I last used Jira, The list of Epics appeared on the left of the screen. I was then able to drag an epic to a story / task to assign it to that epic.

I've never seen that functionality exist outside of the backlog view. Perhaps there was a plugin/board management application you were using?
