Can someone tell me how the usage of automations is calculated in Jira Cloud Premium? It says 1000 automations per user, but how do they decide which user did the automation? Is it based on the Assigned To field or Created By or...?
Or...is it that we just have a set 10,000 automations (if we have 10 users) and any rule that runs just ticks off the total of 10,000 no matter what "user's" task triggered the rule?
I hope that makes sense...
Hi Deseymour,
It's not a literal per named user and who did the rule execution, it's just a way to calculate the total. So if you have 100 paid licenses, then that's 100,000 executions per month. You should never even get close to that. Doesn't matter who triggered the execution, just that each one counts against the total.

Hello @deseymour
To add to answer from @John Funk and Trudy @Trudy Claspill For example, if you also have another product like Jira Service Management Standard with lower limits, and your rule is global or touches projects across both plans, the usage is always counted against the higher-tier product.
Most people do not know that, but it is actually quite useful on instances with combined Products and demands.
