Jira Portfilio - Schedules not working?

Using JIRA Portfolio for Cloud

Have created a number of initiatives, epics, and assigned issues and resources to them. However, when viewing the Schedule down below, which should operate like a Gantt Chart, it is not showing a number of the Epics at all. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why one epic is shown and another is not.

Any tips and tricks? The entire "schedule" section seems very half-baked and difficult to configure in a useful manner.

In case the schedule shows text similar to "The current result set does not contain any stories", then you need to create teams.

Once teams are created the scheduler view starts showing data as a Gantt Chart

Not the case. I already have teams, but still don't see the schedule working as it should.
