Jira Plans roll-up dates in time line view

Hi Community,

We are using plans to manage all our customer projects. As you see everything is grouped by space which give a nice overview, however the timeline details are only shown once you expand a project. Since the roll-up start and due date are displayed at space level, i was wonder if there is a way to display them in the timeline.

Thank :-)!

Hi @Rob Peters ,

The Space doesn't represent a 'body of work'. Instead the Space is 'just' the workspace for a team.

Looking at your screenshot, you have configured a level above Epic. I'll call that 'Initiative' for now.

If you want to roll-up progress from multiple initiatives, you'll first have to define the level above Initiative. See https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-the-issue-type-hierarchy/

Once that is configured (say you call that level 'Theme'), you can create Themes, link Initiatives to these Themes, include them in your plan scope (sources of work) and see the data roll up.

Hope that helps.

Have a nice day!

Rik
